Sandbox freeware for gamers who love to drive
City Racing is a basic game of racing along the streets of a city that doesn't even exist in real life.
The game begins in a way that you wouldn't think that a racing game should start. You have a wrecked car that you have to get to a garage. The mechanic who works on your car offers a bit of advice about racing and how to get started in the game. He also gives you a few tips on how to best set up your car so that it handles well on the road and so that it has as much speed as possible.
When your car is fixed, you can drive around the town in any manner that you like. There are numerous events that you can enter in order to win money so that you can fix your car and make it faster. You can also earn reputation points so that other people will know that you mean business when it comes to racing on the streets. When your ranking is increased, you will discover that it's easier to race in more events as there will be more challenges.
Looking at the game, you'll find that it's a somewhat boring city to drive in, but a few of the vehicles are somewhat futuristic in appearance. This is really the only part of the game that is enticing at times. People walk on the sidewalks, and there are buildings where you have to go to in order to begin some of the challenges. The car doesn't drive well at all, and it feels like you are driving a bumper car throughout the town.
